The wavelength of alexandrite is the shortest of the three. It allows the maximum absorption rate of the melanin chromophore. This provides the best solution for the widest range of hair types and colors, especially thin and light hair.
The diode wavelength is very effective for darker skin types, but less effective for lighter, thinner hair. Its deep penetration level provides the best results for skin types I to IV.
The YAG wavelength is a longer wave. It can reach deeper hair follicles that hold more terminal hairs. It is also safer to use on dark skin.
